Garrett is one of the creators behind Black Box Fragrances and living proof that "I'm just going to smell a few" is a lie. He spends an unreasonable amount of time sniffing his wrists, debating whether something is woody or just smells like a nice Home Depot, and convincing himself that buying another bottle is technically "research." At Black Box Fragrances, Garrett helps shape our content and recommendations so you can find something you love without ordering 63 samples, joining four fragrance Facebook groups, and developing strong opinions about batch codes. His mission is simple: help you smell incredible while making slightly fewer financially irresponsible decisions than he does.
Tyler is one of the creators behind Black Box Fragrances and the reason "this is basically a business expense" has been said far too many times. He spends an irresponsible amount of time comparing fragrances, reading note breakdowns like they're quarterly earnings reports, and convincing himself that owning another bottle is necessary because this one is completely different. At Black Box Fragrances, Tyler helps build the tools, recommendations, and general chaos behind the scenes so finding your next favorite scent is easier than blindly trusting a TikTok guy who says everything is a "10/10 compliment monster." His goal is simple: help you smell ridiculously good without requiring you to refinance your house, develop a spreadsheet, or explain to your family why twelve bottles showed up this week.
